All of the works included on this release were recorded by Psappha in live performances and in the studio.

This recording was the result of a long collaboration between Psappha and Steve Mackey. Five Animated Shorts was written for Psappha and features the Hungarian cimbalom.

This is the original cast recording of Peter Maxwell Davies’ Mr Emmet Takes a Walk which was written for and premièred by Psappha in 2000.

Psappha recorded both works on this release after working with Peter Maxwell Davies. The recording also includes an interview about the works with the composer.

All of the works on this release were recorded in a live performance given by Psappha at the Royal Northern College of Music.
