Ailís Ní Ríain DON'T
Psappha (Dov Goldberg - bass clarinet & Jennifer Langridge - cello) Recorded Live at St. Ann's Church in Manchester on 28th November 2007
Programme Note DON'T aims to depict a crumbling relationship between two people. They say too much. They know they will regret it. They know they will do it all over again. Such is the nature of love.
One of us is dead, Shading to grey, Without dignity.
Trouble and worry, Worry some more, Redemption's not easy these days...
If you just let me go, I'd fight less, And love you more.
We never let it go... We sing the same songs, Whisper the same putrid language, But one of us is dead.
One of us is dead. Fading away, Falling constantly.
Trouble and worry, Worry some more, Redemption's not easy these days...
If you just let me go, I'd fight less, And love you more.
But we never let it go... We dance with strangers, Screaming the same obscenities But one of us is dead. Ailís Ní Ríain
